The rest of summer/anticipating school resuming!

So thankful for the girls in my care this summer and the learning we were able to engage in together. ❤️ This past Tuesday the girls prayed around the world as well as for their own families. Parents texted me pictures of their families to show the girls as each one prayed. I set up areas in my home with pictures of friends from different parts of the world and objects from each continent. We traveled around the house matching the continent names to each arrangement. The girls were passionate about praying!
At the end of July my husband and I traveled to Cleveland, Ohio to encourage a church ministry there. We visited a pastor and family who were committed to serving their neighborhood, including implementing a community garden. We also participated in a Bible Club among other things. The highlight for me was teaching a mom/child class on community, and especially sharing my own story of both trauma and hope with this group of dear women.
The end of summer is swiftly approaching, and I, as well as many others, are gearing up for school. (I will be entering my final year at the seminary.) We have some free resources available tied to back to school both on the website and YouTube:
