A thought about the value of centers and playful learning:

This is a theme I will revisit from time to time… What prompted me to share this week was experiencing the work my mentee put into setting up children’s spaces in her church’s nursery. I have loved seeing how she takes what I teach her and runs with it, making it her own. With the focus on Jesus’s resurrection, her current centers reflect life.

I also set up centers in my home…and witnessed yet another mentee – the six-year-old I tutor – add her own creative touch to the mix with a garden vignette.

Perhaps today, you can try arranging several items together on a shelf or in a corner that connect in some way and see what the little ones in your care do.
